Solitude Farm Morgan Horse Rescue is located in central Virginia. A 501 c3 organization, Solitude goes beyond the conventional foster care of neglected and surrendered registered and grade Morgans. By preparing these horses for useful lives as pleasure and trail mounts, Solitude also educates the community about the breed and its care. We welcome inquiries, comments, and suggestions. Don't forget to visit www.morganhorserescue.org for more information about, and pictures of, Solitude.

Someday our Prince will come... actually, in September!

Meet Veil Corlynagain, aka "Prince", AMHA #121166, who will be traveling to Solitude this fall when the weather is better for the long trek from Maine to Virginia (closing in on 100 degrees here in central Virginia today!). This handsome rescue is a voluntary surrender horse & we look forward to keeping his previous family apprised of his progress.

"Dixie" (Geo-Dan Dixie Belle, AMHA #0134171) joins Miranda as Solitude's second resident.

Geo-Dan Dixie Belle, aka "Dixie", was originally thought to be IR but the vet has confirmed otherwise, hooray!. She is now undergoing treatment for a thyroid condition, has been trail ridden and worked in the ring, and goes nicely on a loose rein. Dixie will enter our riding program shortly once she has reached her optimum weight. Check back here frequently for updates on her adoptability status!

Solitude Farm welcomes its first horses.
